At one point in life he reached a weight of 120 Kg and had a fat belly. His diet was carbohydrates such as muesli, bread, sandwiches, skimmed milk, takeaways, orange juice.
Cure was reducing carbohydrates and increasing protein and full fat organic dairy. Also sprinting once per week (parkrun). In particular breakfast now contains as low carbohydrate and as high protein as possible. He now weighs 80Kg and has perfect blood pressure 115 mmHg systolic, BMI < 25, waist to height ratio of 0.5, and plaque free arteries as indicated by an ankle-brachial index of 1.2. He also has a Lymphocyte to Monocyte Ratio (LMR) of 12. He does have an enlarged spleen. This reduces the blood count of neutrophils and platelets which alarms doctors however research shows that this an effect of spleen storage and nothing to do with bone marrow production. Only 2% of neutrophils are circulating in blood anyway. Most are in spleen, bone marrow, or stuck to tissues. He is using anti-clotting supplements (daily 75mg aspirin, 6000FU Nattokinase, Bromelain). He did try reducing this to once per 3 days but this resulted in clotting eventually. He suspects that just 3 days of new untreated platelets is enough to clot. He has devices to measure heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, and blood glucose. The finger prick required for testing blood glucose also useful for testing normal clotting after injury (it does not carry on bleeding).
Joe Tippens was diagnosed with small-cell lung cancer. At the time, Tippens was undergoing a clinical trial for a novel anti-cancer drug. Meanwhile, under the guidance of a veterinarian, Tippens began self-administering 222 mg fenbendazole orally, along with vitamin E supplements, CBD oil, and bioavailable curcumin. After three months of self-administration, a PET scan revealed no detectable cancer cells in his body. Notably, Tippens was the only patient cured of cancer among the 1,100 clinical trial participants.
I am not particularly keen on promoting dog de-wormers for cancer but Joe Tippens did cheat in the trial by adding this. The point I make here is that multiple simultaneous interventions are better than one and he was the only one cured out of 1,100 trial participants. (So always cheat in cancer trials). There are at least another 20 non-toxic ways to beat cancer. Use them all.
The 212 people were expected to die within 1 year. But were treated with non-toxic melatonin and other hormones.
After 5 years, 23 patients were still alive. (11%)
178 of the 212 had had previous chemotherapy so only 34 had not had chemotherapy!. It known that chemotherapy damages your immune system. However 81 patients had a normal Lymphocyte to Monocyte ratio of 2:1 prior to treatment. Of these 81 normal LMR patients, 28% of them were still alive after 5 years. The 131 patients with low LMR were all dead after 3 years.
In another study also in Italy, in 1993, the melatonin treatment was also successful and it was noted that it was much more successful if the patient had not had previous chemotherapy.
For 16 patients who had not previously had chemotherapy, 7 of them had a positive response (7/16 = 43%).
For 19 patients who had previously had chemotherapy, 1 of them had a positive response (1/19 = 5%).
Does this mean that melatonin treatment is 7 times more effective than chemotherapy? No!, but it suggest that melatonin therapy and every other non-toxic therapy is tried before chemotherapy as it seems clear that chemotherapy damages your immune system and that it is your immune system that ultimately cures the cancer, and that the current standard of care (SOC) may be based on an incorrect theory of cancer, and that the the standard of care has knowingly been failing patients for 29 years.
The point is that melatonin can stop cancer when conventional treatment is abandoned or excluded and it is good to have a normal Lymphocyte to Monocyte ratio > 2.

40 rats were split into 4 groups and given a different diet for 12 weeks for each group. They could eat as much as they wanted (just like you and me!)
The group given a western diet including stevia sweetener got fat and unhealthy! (just like you and me!)
The group given a western diet including allulose sweetener got not as fat and and not as unhealthy! (and ate less)
The groups given a a normal rat diet (low sugar) including allulose or stevia sweeteners were just fine!
It is obviously best not to eat the western diet but it is hard to escape the sugar and vegetable oil additives in processed foods.
The point is that, in human trials, adding a spoonful of allulose at the start of the day can mitigate the bad effects of processed carbohydrates, sugars and fats and may be a starting point for you or your addicted friend to start the journey to a healthy diet.
There is no interest in the medical profession for exploring allulose (or diet or lifestyle change!) and they would rather just prescribe some medication to hide the symptoms and get you out of their office as soon as possible.

She is overweight, dependent on Omeprazole for years to treat heartburn and indigestion and advised to take statins by doctor.
She has had a fall and now has joint pain and difficulty walking.
Research shows that Omeprazole reduces acidity and magnesium resulting in bone fractures, gut infections, vitamin B12 deficiency, cancer. It is not helping long term.
Predisposing factors for GERD include an incompetent LES, hiatal hernia, a short intraabdominal esophagus, diaphragmatic crura or phrenoesophageal ligament weakness, and elevated intraabdominal pressure.
A high acidity stomach is important to digest proteins and support B12 and kill infectious bacteria. Do not use Omeprazole!
Avoid caffeine, alcohol, chocolate, and peppermint, which weaken both esophageal sphincters. Even decaffeinated teas and coffees contain enough caffeine to cause trouble. Some substances in chocolate and peppermint also stimulate stomach acid production. Avoid highly acidic or spicy foods and beverages such as citrus fruits and juices, tomatoes, salad dressings, and barbecue or hot sauces. These foods irritate the tissues lining the throat and voice box. Don't drink carbonated beverages: they can cause belching, which promotes reflux of stomach contents. Don't smoke: nicotine stimulates acid production. Opt for small meals spread throughout the day rather than large meals, which exert pressure on the lower esophageal sphincter. Avoid vigorous exercise, heavy lifting, or bending over immediately after eating. Don't drink or eat for two or three hours before going to sleep.
Drink 10 ml of milk of magnesia (magnesium hydroxide) in the form made by Phillips for upset stomach and indigestion. This may help some people who have stomach issues and wish to reduce acidity *in the esophagus* at night before bed at least an hour after eating so that your stomach acid has finished its digestion and moved the stomach contents to the small intestine. At this daily rate a 200 ml bottle of milk of magnesia will last about 18 days.
Lets lose all excess fat and weight. That will reduce elevated intraabdominal pressure and reduce stress on joints.
High-protein foods, such as lean meats, fish, eggs, tofu, whey protein and legumes increase the pressure of the lower esophageal sphincter (keeping it closed tight) and are recommended to increase satiety and prevent acid reflux symptoms.
Do not eat any wheat, rye or barley, or processed carbohydrates like bread. These are not satisfying!
Train your body to get fuel from fats and ketones, not carbohydrates. E.g. coconut oil will provide fats and ketones while fasting, whisk into your hot decaf tea with a hand blender to make a milky solution. Never have any carbohydrates for breakfast. Try sardines.
Satisfy nutrition requirements. Your body will not stop eating until it has all nutrients. Vitamin D3+K2, methylated Vitamin B complex, Chelated Minerals, Cod liver oil capsules, Omega 3 fish oil capsules, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, berries, onions, brussel sprouts, rocket, pecorino cheese, kerrygold butter (if it is not free range, grass fed you will be lacking the essential Fatty15 (saturated fat with 15 carbon atoms C15:0)
Adding a spoonful of allulose at the start of the day can mitigate the desire for processed carbohydrates, and may be a starting point for you to start the journey to a healthy diet.
